EMDR Therapy

The past still feels present.
You may tell yourself it’s over – the breakup, the loss, the painful childhood – but your body hasn’t gotten the message.
Perhaps you find yourself shutting down during conflict, feeling suddenly anxious for no apparent reason, or replaying old memories that still cause pain. You might know you should be okay by now, but you’re not.
You’ve read the books, tried to “think your way through it,” and maybe even talked it out before. But the pain lives deeper than words – tucked away in the nervous system, showing up as tension, self-doubt, or emotional numbness.
You’re not broken. You’re protecting yourself.
Those reactions you wish would “go away” are your body’s way of keeping you safe.
EMDR therapy helps you gently update those old survival responses, allowing you to feel grounded in the present, once and for all.
In our work together, we’ll create a space that feels calm, sacred, and real.
This is a place where your emotions are welcome, and your nervous system can begin to rest.

What does EMDR therapy feel like?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a robust and evidence-based method for healing trauma, but it’s not as clinical as it sounds.
Think of it as guided healing for your mind and body, a way to release what’s been stored too long.
During sessions, we’ll discuss what’s been weighing on you and use gentle bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, tapping, tactile buzzers, or sound, to help your brain reprocess painful memories.
As your body relaxes and your perspective shifts, those old memories begin to lose their charge. What once felt overwhelming starts to feel more distant, like something that happened, not something that defines you.
Each session is collaborative and intuitive. You’ll never be pushed into something you’re not ready for. Together, we follow your body’s wisdom, your pace, and your intuition.
Here’s what to expect in our work together.
EMDR with me is more than a technique; it’s a deeply holistic and heart-centered process that honors your mind, body, and spirit.
My approach combines presence, intuition, and gentle guidance to create a safe and grounded space where true healing can unfold.
In our work together, we may incorporate grounding practices, breathwork, mindfulness, or somatic awareness to help you stay connected and resourced. I also draw from modalities such as parts work, somatic therapy, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy when appropriate, always in a way that feels authentic and aligned with your pace.
Clients often share that our sessions feel both deeply healing and surprisingly gentle. I intend to walk beside you with warmth and care as you learn to trust yourself again, release what no longer serves you, and reconnect with your inner peace.

Imagine feeling free again.
Picture walking into situations that used to trigger you and realizing you feel calm, confident, and whole.
The anxiety that once hijacked your mind is quiet. The old shame no longer rules your choices. You can breathe again.
This is the freedom EMDR helps create, not by erasing your past, but by transforming your relationship to it.
