Frequently Asked Questions
Some practical answers for a deeply personal path…
The Essentials (Mind + Body)
Where are you located?
My office is in Encinitas, CA, near the ocean – peaceful, quiet, and intentionally curated for healing.
I also offer virtual sessions for anyone in California.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. Many of my clients love the flexibility of meeting from their own sacred space.
Whether in person or online, we’ll create a grounded, connected container for your healing.
What are your hours?
I see clients Monday through Friday.
How long are sessions?
Most sessions are 50 minutes. For deeper EMDR or soul-level processing, I offer extended sessions.
Do you take insurance?
No, I’m not in-network.
Choosing to work privately gives us the freedom to follow your healing, not a billing code. If your plan covers out-of-network providers, I can give you a “Superbill” to submit for possible reimbursement.
How do I book a first session?
Just reach out. I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation so we can feel into the connection and see if it’s a good, energetic fit.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Life happens. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for 24 hours’ notice to avoid a full-session charge.
The Work (Soul + Nervous System)
What kind of therapy do you offer?
I offer trauma-informed therapy grounded in EMDR, parts work (IFS), somatic healing, Ketamine-assisted therapy (when appropriate for deeper healing), and mindfulness.
Together, we listen to the wisdom of your nervous system and soul. You don’t need to relive everything; you just need a safe space to release what’s no longer yours to carry.
Do you only work with women?
I work with all genders and identities, ages 12 and up. Many of my clients are women and teen girls, but the work I offer is rooted in attunement, not labels.
Most of my clients are navigating trauma from childhood, toxic relationships, or emotionally unsafe environments.
Have you been in therapy yourself?
Yes, absolutely. I’ve walked this path myself, including through EMDR.
I know what it feels like to sit in the client seat – to hold pain, crack open, and come home to myself again.
What if I’ve tried therapy before but it didn’t help?
That’s more common than you think. So many people have had surface-level experiences that didn’t get to the root.
My work goes deeper – but always with gentleness and consent. It’s not about fixing you. It’s about reconnecting you to your inner knowing.
How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?
If something you’ve read or felt here resonates, that’s a great start. Let’s chat and see how it feels. You’ll know pretty quickly if we click.
Will I have homework?
Only if it supports you. Sometimes, I’ll offer tools, rituals, meditations, or grounding practices. Other times, integration happens between sessions. There’s no pressure here.
Is everything we talk about confidential?
Yes. Everything shared is sacred and protected, within the limits of the law. We’ll go over the details in our first session.
The Extras (Spirit + Curiosity)
What’s your therapy vibe?
Gentle, grounded, and intuitive. Some sessions are quiet and body-based. Others are deep conversations or energy-clearing in disguise.
There’s no one right way to heal. We’ll co-create what you need.
Should I expect to cry? Or not feel anything?
Either or both. Some people cry in every session. Others feel numb or disconnected. It’s all part of the process. However you show up is exactly right.
Do I have to believe in energy or spirituality to work with you?
Not at all. I follow your lead. If spirituality is important to you, we can weave it into the work. If not, we’ll keep it grounded in body and science. Both paths are sacred.
Is your space cozy?
Yes, by design. Think soft lighting, calming colors, cozy blankets, soothing music, and the faint smell of palo santo or essential oil. It’s a space where your nervous system can exhale.
Can I ask you personal questions?
Sure… within reason. I’m a real person, and sometimes a little openness helps. I’ll always answer in a way that supports your process.
What’s your go-to grounding tool?
Extended exhalation: in through the nose, out through the mouth.
Also… getting outside in nature, cold water on the face, a warm drink, or music that soothes. We’ll find what works best for you.
What do you believe about healing?
That it’s not linear.
That your body knows.
That your soul remembers.
And that healing doesn’t mean erasing the past; it means reclaiming your power and coming home to yourself.
Sunrises or sunsets?
Sunsets. The soft undoing. The quiet release. The space between what was and what’s becoming.
